As is usually the norm with The Walking Dead, last week's episode - which saw Negan exert his authority on the residents of Alexandria - made fans hold their breaths until the final moments.

Well, another week another fresh instalment and this week will see us catch up with plenty of characters for the first time this season.

Location wise, we're sticking in Alexandria but we're also going to glimpse a location we first visited last season continuing in the same universe-expanding vein as previous episodes.

The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 5 Trailer

When's it on?

What's it called?

"Go-Getters" which we're going to guess is what the Saviours brand the people who 'earn' for them at their beck and call.

What can we expect?

A return to the Hilltop Colony

This episode will catch up with both Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) at the Hilltop Colony, the place they were on their way to when Negan rudely interrupted and murdered their respective love interests, Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) and her husband Glenn (Steven Yeun).

The return of future key characters

Namely Hilltop leader Gregory and Paul Monroe (you can call him Jesus). It's a sure bet these two will be handed more screentime now they're about to be woven into the overarching storyline.

A vengeful Maggie

Immediately following the death of Glenn, Maggie expressed her intent for revenge despite Rick suggesting otherwise. Recuperating at the Hilltop, it would seem Maggie remains there for the duration of her pregnancy; she will probably spend the majority of her time working out how she can wreak her vengeance on Negan. With the gun retrieved by (Christian Serratos) in the closing moments of last week's episode, it seems she'll have an ally in her cause.

Carl going rogue

A few people are opposing Rick's willingness to defer to Negan, chief of all most interestingly being his son, Carl (Chandler Riggs). A clip released earlier this week shows him questioning Rick's authority to Michonne (Danai Gurira) with the trailer suggesting he may go against his father's orders by leaving the walls of Alexandria to protect Enid (Katelyn Nacon). Is he attempting to seek vengeance for the death of his friends? Quite possibly.

More Saviours

In the trailer, we see a group of Saviours head to the Hilltop led by Negan's downright terrifying-looking right-hand man, Simon (Steven Ogg). "We need to talk," he tells Gregory, surrounded by an ensemble of threatening looking clan members. Have they cottoned on to the fact the Hilltop were complicit in Rick and co's siege on the Saviours last season? Let's hope not

The Walking Dead season 7 continues in the US on Sundays with its UK premiere airing the following evening at 9pm on FOX
