This Time With Alan Partridge trailer shows Norfolk radio DJ return to presenting on BBC
The show will, supposedly, be 'the perfect shop window for a man of Alan’s gravitas'

The first trailer for This Time with Alan Partridge has teased the return of Steve Coogan‘s graceless broadcaster to our screens.
The new six-part comedy series will see Partridge take on hosting duties for a live BBC programme, promised to feature “a heady mix of consumer affairs, current affairs, viewer interaction, highbrow interview and lightweight froth”.
The show will, supposedly, be “the perfect shop window for a man of Alan’s gravitas” and “will, or should, see him finally recognised as one of the heavyweight broadcasters of his era”.
Penned by Coogan, Neil Gibbons and Rob Gibbons – who also co-wrote Mid Morning Matters, Alpha Papa, and several autobiographies for the character – This Time with Alan Partridge will also star Tim Key, Felicity Montagu, Susannah Fielding, and Jennie Gresham.
The series marks over 25 years since the character was first created, appearing in 1991 episode of Radio 4’s satirical news programme On the Hour. Coogan then reprised the character for The Day Today in 1994.
The six-part comedy series will air on BBC1 early this year.
