Jeff Lowe reveals whether he thinks Carole Baskin 'killed her ex-husband' in new episode

Jeff Lowe appeared on a Tiger King aftershow where he claimed Netflix “sensationalised” the story to make him the “villain”, and revealed his views on Carole Baskin.

The streaming service has released The Tiger King and I, an aftershow episode in which Joel McHale interviews people from the series.

The zoo owner is shown in the series becoming embroiled in Joe Exotic’s rivalry with animal rights activist Baskin after he tried to prevent her from taking the Oklahoma GW reserve away from his former business partner.

Appearing on the new episode alongside his wife Lauren, Lowe was asked about his views on Exotic and his claims that Baskin killed and fed her ex-husband to her tigers.

“There’s no question in my mind that she did it, and we’ve claimed that for years and years and years,” he said.

When asked if she believes Exotic’s claim, Lauren chimed in: “Abso-f***ing-lutley.”

Just like head zookeeper Erik Cowie, who refused to hold back on his views on Exotic, Lowe said: “He should have gone on the stand and testified against himself, ‘cause those videos where he’s shooting Carole, hanging Carole, blowing Carole up – Joe didn’t get set up.”

Exotic is serving a 22-year sentence for hiring someone to kill Baskin, as well as for killing his tigers to make room for more at his Oklahoma reserve.

“Joe killed the tigers,” Lowe said. ”They were beautiful, healthy tigers that he called over to the fence and he shot them in the head because he needed the cage space.”

Criticising the Netflix show for making him out to be a “villain”, Lowe added: ”They can’t attack me legitimately, so they try to associate me to every criminal since El Chapo, and it’s just not fair.”
