Netflix has released the first trailer for season 2 of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, seeing our perma-smiling protagonist looking for a new job and confronting the psychological toll of her time in the bunker.

The show’s unbridled cheeriness will be a welcome return now most of us have chewed through the bleakness of House of Cards season 4, with all 13 episodes hitting on 15 April.

There are plenty of great gags in the trailer, including this exchange:

Titus: ‘Kimbercile, what do I always say?’

Kimmy: ‘Don’t touch my dolls they’re strictly look-upons?’

‘John Cusack got fat but I still would?’

Here’s the official synopsis for the season from Netflix:

‘Season two of the Emmy nominated series picks up shortly after season 1 and finds Kimmy (Ellie Kemper) looking for a new job, Titus (Tituss Burgess) forced to face his past with the appearance of his ex-wife and Jacqueline (Jane Krakowski) rediscovering her roots while landlady Lillian (Carol Kane) finds a surprising romance.’

Creator Tina Fey (30 Rock) is still on board, serving as executive producer alongside Robert Carlock (30 Rock), Jeff Richmond (30 Rock) and David Miner (30 Rock, Brooklyn Nine-Nine).
