What's joining Netflix UK and US July 2016? From Gilmore Girls to BoJack Horseman

Also: X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Returned season 2 and The Purge: Anarchy

Netflix has quite a few treats up its sleeve this month.

As expected, the US gets a better array of films than the UK version of the streaming site (including Gladiator, The Sting and the Back to the Future trilogy) but elsewhere, it makes up for this with its slate of original properties.

First up, Will Arnett returns to lend his voice to everyone's favourite neurotic mule in the third season of animated comedy drama BoJack Horseman while those who enjoyed the medieval adventure of Marco Polo will be happy to hear season two will be unveiled this month. It's supernatural thriller Stranger Things that we're most excited for, however, the intense drama starring Winona Ryder and Matthew Modine.

Elsewhere, films The Invitation and Tallulah - which have each earned their fair share of chatter - will also be released and, if that's not enough, the arrival of July sees all seven seasons of Gilmore Girls added in celebration of the recently confirmed new series.
