The Great Sport Relief Bake Off

8pm, BBC2

Kirsty Young, Jane Horrocks, the Olympic long-jump champion Greg Rutherford and the Dancing on Ice judge Jason Gardiner make gingerbread biscuits, banoffee pies and representations of their jobs in cake. That, we must see.

Wild Brazil

9pm, BBC2

Stephen Mangan gets to voicespeak the clichés (“beating heart of South America”... “irresistible forces of nature”) and, as so often with these non-Attenborough wildlife series, it’s best to let the pictures speak for themselves, as a tufted capuchin hunts for an aggrieved-looking lizard and a giant otter of the Pantanal wetlands illustrates the value of a big family.

Death In Paradise

9pm, BBC1

The returning Caribbean detective drama sees a group of old friends arriving on the island for a reunion, only for one of the party to be murdered with an ice-pick. Someone obviously packed for the wrong holiday.

Richard Poole (Ben Miller) is out of action, so another British inspector is quickly drafted in to help – which is the writers’ way of beginning to replace the departing Miller with Kris Marshall.

House Of Fools

10pm, BBC2

Set in Bob Mortimer’s home, this is Mortimer and Vic Reeves’ stab at a studio sitcom, and good fun it is, too – with no little thanks to co-stars Matt Berry and Morgana Robinson.

Autopsy: Whitney Houston’s Last Hours

10pm, Channel 5

Dr Richard Shepherd studies the singer ’s death in 2012, with the post-mortem revealing the liver and heart disease, caused by alcohol consumption and smoking, and the perforated septum from snorting cocaine.
