Whoopi Goldberg addressed President Trump supporters on The View, telling them to “suck it up” after Joe Biden won the presidential election.

The View co-host made the statement after opening the talk show singing Sam Cooke’s A Change Is Gonna Come.

Goldberg, who has not said President Trump’s name since he was elected president, according to The Daily Beast, then revealed that she will be able “to say the next president’s name out loud,” before sharing her message to Americans who believe that the president still has a chance to win the election.

“Now I just want to bring something up right now, I want to say to all those people who don’t believe that Americans actually got out and voted, let me say this to you,” Goldberg said. “When you know who was elected  four years ago, Hillary Clinton didn’t say: ‘Hey, wait a minute, this doesn’t feel right, stop the count.’

“She didn’t say: ‘This isn’t right.’ She didn’t say any of that. So all of you, suck it up. Suck it up like we sucked it up.”

The 64-year-old then offered some advice to anyone who is “not comfortable with Joe Biden,” telling viewers: “Do what we did. Find things  and then take it to the law, and if the law says it’s something to look at, look at it. But from now on, suck it up.”

Goldberg also criticised anyone who questions the legitimacy of president-elect Biden’s win.

“You’re bringing into question all these Americans who voted, legally, came out and stood and voted,” the talk-show host said, adding: “How dare you question it?”

Despite losing the presidential election, Mr Trump has refused to concede to Mr Biden, instead announcing that he will be mounting legal battles against the election results to “ensure election laws are fully upheld and the rightful winner is seated”.
