Wife Swap is coming back for a Brexit special
Wife trading is of course a classic strategy for settling political debates

By this point, swapping wives is as good an idea as any when it comes to trying to make sense of and establish a plan for Brexit.
Channel 4’s beloved trash TV programme Wife Swap will return for a one-off special, it was confirmed today, “for an intimate look at the nation's biggest talking point - Brexit.”
The 60-minuter will see couples from either side of the leave/remain debate trade spouses, presumably so they can stand in kitchens and argue about the washing but also immigration.
“With the Brexit debate dominated by politicians and journalists it will be fascinating to hear the voices of two ordinary families grappling with the issue,” Daniel Fromm, Executive Producer at RDF Television, which is making the episode, said.
Emily Jones, Commissioning Editor, Education, for Channel 4, added: “Wife Swap was largely about how people chose to run their homes, but it always had political undertones.
“Now the world has changed and recent events have brought political issues into the heart of every household.
“What better time to bring back this much loved format to explore Brexit and hear firsthand the conversations happening in every home.” (sic)
Wife Swap first arrived on Channel 4 in 2003 and ran until 2009.
Now we just need an episode of Take Me Out that explores the future of TTIP.
