Mr Drew's School for Boys, Channel 4 - TV review
Mr Drew's School for Boys is Channel 4's latest "reality" exercise in behaviour modification.
Stephen Drew, the formidably patient head teacher and breakout star of Educating Essex, has been handed a summer school in which to retune some primary school boys who seem to have gone way beyond Lord of the Flies into some whole other dimension of unruliness.
As with Supernanny, you do wonder whether this is just a quick fix (does Jo Frost ever revisit the families six months later?), but also like Supernanny it tackled bad parental habits. For as Mr Drew wisely observed: "What happens at home directly impacts on school."
