MEANWHILE if you are reading this while stuck in a delayed Kent Coast train you may be reassured to know that Network South East is backing music. Its South Eastern division will sponsor a children's concert of popular classics at the Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury, on 12 February. 'Children have been expected to sit still and the pieces have been too long,' says presenter Mari Markus Gomori. 'At my concerts children are expected, and even encouraged, to clap, stamp their feet, rattle containers and shake keys to the beat.' The railway division has also sponsored the Kent Music School for seven years.
