Space Bastards HH

PC CD-ROM This is a platform romp spread over more than 100 levels, featuring sexist jokes, soundbites from Zulu and James Bond films and with an 18 certificate. Despite the relatively straightforward control system the game suffers, ultimately because of a lack of gameplay. Every level is completed in the same way, and while they do become progressively harder, none of them really require much thought to complete.

Ready 2 Rumble Boxing HHHH

Dreamcast A one or two player boxing game from Midway, Ready 2 Rumble Boxing boasts stunning 3D graphics and more camera angles than you can shake a stick at. On top of this there are a wide range of moves that can be used by the stylised boxing characters. While the one player game might have somewhat limited appeal, the two player option ensures combatants will still be slugging it well into the new millennium.

Incoming HHH

Dreamcast The planet is under attack from evil alien forces and only you can stop them. Welcome to the world of Incoming. Players control a variety of futuristic military vehicles as they do battle with the alien aggressors over 65 different levels. The graphics and sound are outstanding and outstrip anything seen on any other home format. However, while it's certainly very playable, you may not hang around for all 65 missions.

Dark Stone: Evil Reigns HHH

PC CD-ROM Dark Stone offers players the chance to wander around an entire 3D world, interacting with its numerous inhabitants. The game strikes a nice balance between action and adventure, providing plenty of baddies to slaughter. The user interface is easy to master but the omission of a problem solving element might make the game a little simple for genre veterans. But, despite that, it's still worth a look.
