Take a break with The Independent, the Independent on Sunday and Novotel Hotels. We've teamed up to offer readers two superb deals.

You can get away from it all and enjoy a `two nights for the price of one' weekend break at a Novotel Hotel. Plus if you take two children up to the age of 16, they can stay free if they share their parents' room. Alternatively, you can sample the excellent cuisine offered in The Garden Brasserie, at every Novotel, for just pounds 5 per person.

Novotel is the ideal place to unwind. The 18 UK hotels participating in this offer give the assurance of a friendly reception, attentive service, a convivial atmosphere and excellent facilities - many of the hotels have swimming pools and fitness centres.

How to Qualify

We will be printing a differently numbered token each day until Friday 21 June. To take up the two nights for the price of one offer, simply collect four differently numbered tokens. To take up The Garden Brasserie pounds 5 lunch offer, simply collect two differently numbered tokens. You will need to attach your tokens to an application form which will be printed on Friday. Token 4 is printed today; Token 5 will be printed tomorrow.

How to Book

Two nights for the price of one offer

Once you have selected your hotel and preferred dates call Novotel Central Reservations on 0181 748 3433, quoting `Independent 2 for 1 offer'. Your operator will ask you for your preferred dates, hotel and the number of guests sharing your room. This offer entitles you to a room for two nights for the price of one for up to two adults and two children (who are free up to the age of 16). Your stay must include a Saturday night. Once you have made your booking, please take your completed application form and four tokens to the Novotel reception when you check in. Your tokens will also entitle you to one free bottle of house wine when two people both order a two course meal from the Special Seasonal Selection menu in The Garden Brasserie. This offer is open until 31 December 1996. All bookings are subject to availability.

The Garden Brasserie pounds 5 lunch offer

When you have chosen your preferred hotel please call that hotel directly to book a table for your lunch, stating `Independent pounds 5 lunch offer'. Take your completed application form and two tokens when you visit The Garden Brasserie and give it to your waitress before your meal. This offer entitles you and up to three guests to a two course meal from the Special Seasonal Selection menu for just pounds 5 per person. Drinks are not included.

Five Paris weekend breaks to be won

As well as our two offers, there is also the chance to win one of five fabulous weekends to Paris in our prize draw. Our five winners will each win a weekend break for two including one night in the Novotel London Waterloo, return travel on Eurostar and one night in the Paris Novotel Gare de Lyon hotel.
