When the wind is southerly...

It's small screen plug time again. There's so much fatuous dross that passes for television these days, you don't have time to sift through it all yourself - so sit back and we'll do it for you. Due South (Fri 8pm BBC1) is blossoming into one of the funniest things on TV, what with its ridiculous storylines and its huge brain - why, this week's title, "Hawk and a Handsaw", is a reference to Hamlet. Benton Fraser is also a huge dish, or so I'm told.
