Marianna is an award-winning UK-based freelance writer specialising in travel, food and wine. She has written for The Telegraph, Times, Spectator, i paper and The Independent, among others. Her favourite subject is writing about wine travel – especially lesser-known regions in central and eastern Europe. In 2025, she was named 67 Pall Mall's Wine Communicator of the Year for Short-Form Writing. Marianna previously worked as a financial journalist at The Daily Telegraph and continues to write about financial subjects alongside her travel journalism. She studied Russian and French at university and started her journalism career in Moscow.
