People around the world are invited to take lunch in an environmentally conscientious manner as part of Earth Lunch Hour on October 6, and the entry deadline of The Green Awards, due to expire this week, has been extended until October 22.

A one-day event held around the world where people are encouraged to take lunch in an environmentally responsible way in order to raise awareness of ecological issues. The event will be broadcast on Ustream and Twitter.
