Wet weather has left a bitter taste to fruit and veg

Last year's sodden summer may have made fruit, vegetables and cereals harvested in the wake of the downpours less healthy and less tasty, according to one of Britain's leading agricultural experts.

High rainfall and lack of sunshine may have affected levels of protein in the produce, as well as levels of iron, copper and zinc, Professor Mike Gooding of Reading University told the BBC's Farming Today show.
