The Museum of London Docklands is giving away 10 pairs of tickets to attend the exclusive evening launch party for its new exhibition, Soldiers and Suffragettes: The Photography of Christina Broom on Thursday 18 June. Join VIPs, curators, photographers and London creatives for music, cocktails and canapés, all in the beautiful waterside setting of a Grade I listed Georgian warehouse.
Enjoy the opportunity to see original prints and glass plate negatives – many never seen before on public display – in the first ever exhibition dedicated solely to Christina Broom, the UK’s first female press photographer. With creativity and a bold pioneering spirit she captured thousands of images of London at the start of the 20th century, from First World War soldiers to Suffragette processions, royal occasions to sporting events. This private view will be the first opportunity to visit the free exhibition before it opens to the public on 19 June.
