Computer games are no stranger to controversy, but the release of Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 must surely take the vilest of poor-taste awards.
To publicise it, a bright PR spark has had the idea to send a group of computer-game hacks to Serbia... for a three-day sniper course. Yes, Serbia, in the former republic of Yugoslavia, where 20 years ago at least 140,00 people, including many civilians killed by snipers during the bloody siege of Sarajevo, died.
Er, any alarm bells ringing here, guys? Apparently not, as the trip involves trying the "fine art" before the "anniversary of the atrocities in Sniper Alley".
Vile doesn't even start to do it justice.
