Amazon offers 20% discount on all new videogames with Amazon Prime membership
Buy eight games throughout the year and the Prime membership will pay for itself
It's good news for American gamers, after Amazon announced that they'll be giving 20 per cent off all newly-released and preordered games to Amazon Prime subscribers.
It's obviously not catch-free, because gamers first need to pay $99 a year (it's £79 a year in the UK) for Prime, Amazon's one-day delivery and deals service.
However, since brand-new triple-A games typically cost around $60 (£41) in the US, you'd only need to buy eight new games over the course of the year for the subscription to pay for itself.
There are a few limitations - Amazon defines 'newly released' as games that are less than two weeks old, so you'll need to move fast. And it obviously only applies to physical copies of the game, so if you prefer to download everything and keep clutter to a minimum, the deal might not be for you.
Meanwhile, British gamers will continue having to pay way more than their friends across the pond for the latest titles.
