The latest CGI trailer for Arkane Studios’ Dishonored has arrived, serving as introduction to both plot and setting in a game already garnering attention for its distinctive visuals, flexible combat system – which allows you to combine numerous supernatural abilities, weapons and unusual gadgets – and choice-based mission structure which accommodates both those who like to move under a cloak of shadows, and those who prefer more upfront and brutal encounters.

Dishonored casts you as a supernatural assassin driven by revenge. As the once-trusted bodyguard of the Empress of a steampunk-inspired world, you find yourself framed for her murder and at the whim of a tangled conspiracy.

Known only by the disturbing mask that soon becomes your calling card, you set out to uncover the truth across a city besieged by plague and ruled by an oppressive government armed with strange technologies.

We’re hoping to take a closer look at Dishonored soon ahead of its release later this year for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, in the meantime check out the trailer.
