Call of Duty Infinite Warfare release date and trailer: Space shooter to come out in November
A remastered version of the classic Modern Warfare will be released at the same time, featuring better detail and new audio
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare finally has a trailer – and confirmation that its action takes place in space.
The game will be released in November and allow people to fly out into the solar system. All of the game’s classic first person shooter mechanics will be there – but take place in zero-gravity.
Developers Infinity Ward also announced that the game would come with a remastered version of the classic Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
The game was released alongside a trailer that confirmed many of the rumours about the game. It will be set in the distant reaches of our solar system – the first time that the game has primarily taken place outside of Earth.
Developers are set to reveal more about the game – such as the mechanics for its multiplayer and co-op modes – later this year. That will be ahead of the launch on 4 November, when it will come out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Players will control Captain Reyes, a pilot who commands a huge warship during an attack. Players must get rid of enemies who wish to destroy the ship after a huge attack on Earth, according to an official statement.
