F1 fans looking to take part in Codemasters’ latest spin-ff F1 Online: The Game can now register their interest for the closed beta.

The Formula One endorsed title is a free-to-play racing and management sim set to combine top-down racing gameplay team management; Codemasters looking to expand their F1 license in the same way that Football Manager does with the beautiful game.

Players will make the calls to develop their own personal franchise and improve their car’s performance on the circuit, take charge of building and developing their own headquarters and handle the daily ins-and-outs of running of a successful racing team, including R&D, Production, Commercial and so on.

Extensive research options will help boost performance on the track, while players will also take the lead in recruiting the hundreds of staff required to run a cutting-edge racing team and even deal with finance and sponsorship deas to keep the cash flowing in.

By registering for F1 Online: The Game’s closed beta, players will have the opportunity to give their feedback and shape game features prior to the game’s open beta phase, in Q2 2012.
