Eye, eye – a new way to play starts here
Students playing video games doesn’t makefor a very interesting story.
But the scholars in question, from Imperial College London, haven’t been slumped on the sofa with a copy of ‘Halo’; instead, they’ve created a way for people to play games using their eyes. They’ve adapted ‘Pong’ using a webcam and infrared glasses that track players’ eye movements. Costing only £25 to put together, its creators hope it will help severely disabled people play and that it could one day be used to control wheelchairs and computer cursors.
