Fortnite trailer released for 'Chapter 2'

A huge new Fortnite update has seemingly been revealed in a leaked trailer.

The video comes after Epic made the game disappear and forced players to look instead at a huge black hole, which swallowed the old world.

That old world will now be replaced with a new one that includes a variety of different features, according to the leaked video.

The new update will be known as Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1, bringing a new naming convention to the series.

Chief among the changes in the new chapter is what appears to be an entirely redesigned map. While the trailer only showed off small parts of that world, it appears to have completely done away with the old game's map and redrawn it.

It also seemingly includes new gameplay features, such as the ability to carry downed teammates and swim.

It is not clear where the leaked video – which appeared to be an official trailer for the update, from Epic – emerged from. But it is now being taken down across a variety of social networks, with uploads immediately being removed.

The trailer made no mention of when the new update will actually be released. Fans have been waiting for almost 24 hours to even play the game, which has been entirely offline ever since the world was swallowed up by the black hole.
