Mention Contra,Konami’s side-scrolling shooter, to anyone in the know and they will tell you it’s great fun, extraordinarily difficult and in need of a new instalment. Enter Contra: ReBirth, brimming with all the aliens, overthe- top weapons and great two-player action synonymous with the series. If there is one complaint it’s that – in a successful attempt to maintain the feel of the series – the graphics are retro rather than revolutionary, so can the next entry be a full rebirth please?
