Games Review: Fable II: Knothole Island
Xbox Live Arcade, Microsoft, 800 MSP/£6.8

In Fable II: Knothole Island, each play-through has the potential to be unrecognisable from the last – it’s always nice to have some fresh vistas to explore.
It might not comprise endless hours of gaming, but it is every bit as compelling as its big brother. On the titular island, weather conditions are seriously off-kilter and your quest is to get to the bottom of it by talking, walking, exploring and collecting. Scattered through the content are a few extra tasks to complete as you go, to add more value to what is an excellent, but expensive, extra Fable level.
