It’s easy to forget how cheap dance-mats feel if you haven’t ventured near one for a few years.

In this era of Wii Fit boards and wireless controllers, flapping mats of printed plastic seem suddenly almost retro. That’s appropriate here, because although it is billed as a Wii fitness game, Family Trainer (right), a collection of 15 active mini-games is a good, old-fashioned parlour game that is designed to let mum, dad, brothers and sisters let off steam. Low-tech fun for families or intoxicated students.
