Games Review: Resistance 2

PS3, Sony, £44.99

The original Resistance: Fall of Man was the PS3’s first must-have title. Two years down the line and its sequel is bigger, better and bloodier, making it one of the finest shooters on the platform.

Forget taut plotting and memorable characters, though: where Resistance 2 soars is in its playability and the amount of action packed in is seriously impressive. A new eight-player co- op mode proves that the PS3 can do great multiplayer, while the single-player campaign leaves you staring in wonder at the battle-scarred remains of mid-century America. Resistance is futile.
