Games Review: Wii Sports Resort

Wii, Nintendo, £49.99

As a sequel to the mega-successful Wii Sports and the first casual game using the Motion Plus controller, Sports Resort has a lot riding on it – and it bears up admirably.

Boasting a somewhat rum selection of activities – 12 in all, skydiving and sword fighting being the two most random– that take place in a beach resort, the game is peopled by Miis (a nice touch if your friends and family have their own Miis as you can see them larking about in-game). The action is knockabout and every bit as fun, if less ground-breaking than Wii Sports.
