The classic horror game series Silent Hill is to get a new instalment, with Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima recruiting Pan's Labyrinth director Guillermo del Toro for a new title possibly called 'Silent Hills'.
The game was revealed through an interactive teaser on the PlayStation Store, with Reedus apparently playing its protagonist who is seen looking pensive on a dimly-lit street.
The talented duo behind Silent Hills will hopefully breathe life into the franchise, which went a bit stale with the last two titles, Silent Hill: Book of Memories on PlayStation Vita and Silent Hill: Downpour on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
The reveal can be seen in the video below (ignore the shouting, it was captured from a Twitch stream):
Locate a fresh pair of pants: Silent Hill is coming back Kojima has a fondness for disorientating gamers with his announces, this project being the misleadingly named P.T. demo that was released during Sony's Gamescom conference through a fake developer '7780s Studio'.
It will be exciting to see what effect del Toro's unique cinematic style will have on the game's aesthetic, his foray into gaming coming after his plans for a horror game trilogy called Insane were aborted when THQ folded.
