Can Dino Adriano save Sainsbury's?
Dino Adriano, chief executive of J Sainsbury, is holed up in his rather plain office at the struggling supermarket group's London headquarters with a phone glued to his ear. He is trying, at some length, to explain the group's latest attempt to start a fightback against arch rival Tesco. This is not an easy task as the grand plan is a management reshuffle that involves Mr Adriano handing over a large chunk of his job to David Bremner, his ambitious deputy. While Mr Adriano will remain group chief executive, Mr Bremner will take control of the core UK supermarket business.
