Grand Masters of Italian minigolf in tense end-of-season tournament

Tennis has London's ATP World Tour Finals, November 22-29. Football has the Club World Cup. Football has the Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi, December 9-19. So of course it's only natural that the best of the best Italian minigolfers have their own end-of-season showdown tournament with this weekend's Finale Masters in Milan, November 28-29.

The matchplay tournament is free to enter for the general public, and live results will be posted on the tournament website, detailed below.

The top-ranked men and women of Italian minigolf will meet in the country's first and foremost indoor minigolf course, situated within the Centro Sportivo Sportpark complex, Vedano al Lambro, Milan.

A small municipality northwest of Milan is the best-represented Italian region in the men's finals, with 10 of the 48 top players belonging to minigolf club GSP Vergiate. The initial group will be whittled down to 20 by the time Saturday's qualification rounds have finished.

For the smaller women's tournament, 10 players enter, only six will remain by the time of the seeded semifinals.
