Halloween has come come early at Manchester City where players faces have been merged with frightening results.

Carlos Hart, an amalgamation of Carlos Tevez and Joe Hart is perhaps the spookiest of all while Edin Clichy, combining the faces of Edin Dzeko and Gael Clichy, looks like a candidate for the leading role in Wes Craven's next picture.

Others put through the face merging process at the home of the Premier League champions are Serio Aguero and David Silva, to create Sergio Silva, and Micah Richards and Mario Balotelli - which actually looks like an improvement for both players.

The images were released to promote the launch of City Stickers Facebook app, a twist on classic football stickers which allows fans to merge their own mugs with that of their favourite players.

Julian Pate, Head of Marketing for Manchester City, said: "We know fans like to get close to the players, but we thought it would be fun to take that one step further and give them the chance to become their favourite players - or at least see what they'd look like if they were."

Pate added that this app was for anyone who has ever "dreamt of what it would be like to be a City star". Although be warned, realising this particular dream could leave you with nightmares.
