Nobel prize laureates for medicine, chemistry, physics and peace will be announced between October 5 and 9. The Nobel Prize for literature is expected to be announced in mid-October.

The Nobel Prize Ceremony in Stockholm (Sweden) for Medicine, Physics and Chemistry and in Oslo (Norway) for Peace will take place on December 10.

Man Booker Prize Announced

The Man Booker Prize is one of the most important literary awards in the world. Rewarding the best in contemporary fiction, the winner receives 50, 000 pounds (55,000 euros), as well as a dramatic increase in book sales. In 2008, Aravind Adiga won the prize with his novel The White Tiger.
