It might only be November, but online retail giant Amazon is already thinking about Christmas as it is offering US customers free shipping for a limited time during the holiday season.

The offer applies to anyone, regardless of whether or not they are an Amazon Prime customer, who get free delivery anyway throughout the year.

There are still advantages for people who pay for Prime accounts though, with Amazon offering same-day delivery on a whole host of items.

There's no minimum purchase amount, meaning you can spend as much, or as little, as you like on the site without paying extra for shipping.

The deal will also run on Black Friday, which is on 23 November.

Black Friday is the biggest shopping event in America, with thousands of retailers across the country slashing their prices for the annual discount day

It has also become very popular in the UK. In 2017, 91 per cent of British retailers took part.

If you're already planning your purchases for the big day, get ahead of the game by consulting our handy guide for all the best Black Friday deals.
