Beyoncé and Jay-Z have launched a competition that gives fans a chance to win a lifetime of concert tickets if they commit to a vegan diet.

The giveaway is in partnership with Beyoncé’s personal trainer Marco Borges, who launched the 22-Days Nutrition Greenprint Project, and is open to all fans willing to implement at least a partially vegan meal plan into their everyday life.

For example, participants can engage in a fully vegan diet, commit to “Meatless Mondays” or consume two plant-based meals a day to qualify.

To enter the competition, fans simply need to submit their details to the Greenprint Project website. Then one grand prize winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received around 22 May 2019.

According to the competition rules, the lucky winner will be given access to a pair of tickets to one official scheduled tour concert during each official scheduled tour by Beyoncé and/or Jay-Z in the US, for the winner’s life, up to a maximum of 30 years.

The couple announced the competition on their Instagram accounts. While Beyoncé vowed to have plant-based breakfasts and take part in Meatless Mondays, Jay-Z revealed he is pledging to eat two plant-based meals a day.

The couple have spoken openly about their decision to adopt a plant-based diet in recent years.

Earlier this month, the Carters wrote the introduction for Borges’ book, The Greenprint: Plant-Based Diet, Best Body, Better World, explaining why they chose to implement veganism into their diets.

‘Having children has changed our lives more than anything else,” they wrote.

‘We used to think of health as a diet – some worked for us, some didn’t. Once we looked at health as the truth, instead of a diet, it became a mission for us to share that truth and lifestyle with as many people as possible.”

“We all have a responsibility to stand up for our health and the health of the planet. Let’s take this stand together. Let’s spread the truth. Let’s make this mission a movement. Let’s become ‘the Greenprint’.”

Beyoncé also adopted a vegan diet in the weeks leading up to her iconic Coachella performance in May 2018.

Ahead of the festival, Beyoncé gave her Instagram followers an insight into her training regime by posting a photo of some food with the caption: “44 days until Coachella!! Vegan Time!!”

Beyoncé isn’t the only famous celebrity to have decided to follow a plant-based diet in recent times.

Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande are also strong believers in veganism, while Jared Leto previously described himself as a “cheagan” (a cheating vegan) in a Rolling Stone interview.
