Now in its 190th year, the race is one of London’s biggest sporting events, kicking off in Putney and concluding in Mortlake.
This four mile-long route offers plenty in terms of riverside vantage points, but given the popularity of the race, you’ll want to secure a good spot. Ideally one with refreshments and toilets within the vicinity.
The proceedings officially begin with the women’s race at 2.13pm, followed by the men’s race at 3.10pm. But spectators will undoubtedly start to gather earlier in the afternoon to soak up some of the pre-race atmosphere.
