Vassily Smyslov, at 76, still plays at a grandmasterly level, but in this game from the tournament in Hoogeveen, in the Netherlands, he miscalculated the complications after 20 ... Nf6 and landed in an endgame with his knight fatally corralled in the enemy camp.
