Chrissy Teigen has spoken about being the only celebrity that President Biden follows on Twitter after years of being blocked by Trump.

The official @POTUS Twitter account, which is always operated on behalf of the current president, currently follows just 12 people.

Almost all of them are White House aides and members of staff, apart from vice president Kamala Harris, Biden’s wife, Jill, and Teigen.

On Wednesday, following Biden’s inauguration, one person tweeted a screenshot of the accounts followed by @POTUS, tagging Teigen, who retweeted the screenshot alongside the caption: “OH MY GOD!!!!!!!”.

The 35-year-old added in a subsequent tweet: “My heart oh my god lmao I can finally see the president’s tweets and they probably won’t be unhinged.”

It comes after Teigen tweeted Biden directly prior to his inauguration asking for him to follow her.

“Hello @joebiden I have been blocked by the president for four years can I get a follow plz [sic],” she tweeted.

While the president did not reply to the former model, it seems like her request has been granted - and Teigen’s followers are just as thrilled as she is.

“Biden following Chrissy Teigen is so funny,” tweeted one person.

Another added: “Joe Biden following only 10 government officials and then chrissy teigen is the funniest s*** to me.”

Trump famously blocked Teigen on Twitter in 2017 after she tweeted “lol no one likes you,” at him.

“After 9 years of hating Donald J Trump, telling him ‘lol no one likes you’ was the straw,'” Teigen wrote on Twitter, with a picture of a message showing she had been blocked.
