Eddie Murphy and partner Paige Butcher pose on red carpet

Eddie Murphy’s eldest daughter has shared a photo of her father’s newborn son in a Christmas photo, just a month after the newest addition to the family was born.

The family portrait shows Murphy posing with all of 10 his children for the first time, including one-month-old Max. It also includes his long-time partner Paige Butcher, and the couple’s mothers.

The actor’s sons Eric, 29, Christian, 28, Miles, 26, are pictured, as are his daughters Bria, 29, Shayne Audra, 24, Zola Ivy, 19, Bella Zahra, 16, Angel Iris, 11, and Izzy Oona, two.

Eric’s mother is Paulette McNeely, Christian’s mother is Tamara Hood and Angel Iris’s mother is Mel B of the Spice Girls. Five of the actor’s children are with ex-wife Nicole Murphy, who Murphy divorced in 2006.

The photo of the family was shared by Murphy’s eldest daughter Bria on Instagram, where she captioned it: “Merry Christmas!” and has since been liked more than 25,000 times.

“Beautiful family,” one person wrote.

Another said: “Beautiful legacy. There’s no better legacy than your own children.”

The news that Murphy and Butcher, who have been dating since 2012, were expecting their second child was confirmed in August.

The 57-year-old Murphy named his youngest son Max Charles in honour of his late brother Charlie Murphy, who passed away in 2017 from leukaemia.

In addition to Max, the couple also have two-year-old Izzy together.

The family's latest Christmas portrait shows the growth of the Murphy family over the last two years, and follows a tradition Bria started in 2016 of sharing a picture of the family.
