Abercrombie & Fitch has launched their new unisex kids' collection to appeal to all children regardless of their gender.

The “Everybody Collection”, released by the abercrombie kids division, includes a variety of graphic hoodies, sweatshirts, sandals and hats.

The tagline for the collection is: “For every kind of kid and every kind of adventure.”

Abercrombie & Fitch has made a point of emphasising the inclusivity of the collection.

“Boys and girls, tall or small, aspiring scientists or athletes… styles for all!”, the website states.

Stacia Andersen, brand president for Abercrombie & Fitch and abercrombie kids, explained how the release of the collection will give children the freedom to dress individually.

“Parents and their kids don’t want to be confined to specific colours and styles, depending on whether shopping for a boy or a girl,” she said.

“Our Everybody Collection covers the trends we are seeing in both colour and style.”

The concept of the Everybody Collection came about after the clothing brand listened to feedback from customers.

“We put our customer at the centre of everything we do and are constantly listening to their feedback to provide the right product and brand experience,” Andersen said.

The first collection consists of 25 styles and will be sold across all abercrombie kids stores and online.

The Everybody Collection will be updated with seasonal clothing during summer and before kids go back to school in autumn.

The abercrombie kids division of Abercrombie & Fitch is aimed at children aged between five and 14 years old.

Abercrombie & Fitch isn’t the only retailer that has started to offer unisex clothing.

In December last year, River Island released their new gender-neutral children’s clothing line in an effort to banish stereotypes.
