BAFTA commemorates work of late royal Prince Philip

Much like everything else, this year’s Baftas were a little different than usual.

What would normally be a star-studded event, complete with a red carpet frequented by A-list actors and British royalty, and attended by the viewing public, was forced to adapt to the current climate and go almost completely virtual.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year’s Bafta Awards was stretched across two evenings, Saturday 10 April and Sunday 11 April, but took place at the usual venue of the Royal Albert Hall.

But just because the event was a little more stripped back than usual, that doesn’t mean it was any less of a glamorous affair.

Presenters in attendance at the event itself included, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Cynthia Erivo, Hugh Grant, Richard E Grant, Tom Hiddleston, and Felicity Jones, and each and everyone one of them dressed to the nines for what was, for many, their first red carpet appearance in more than a year due to the number of live events that have been cancelled as a result of the pandemic.

Meanwhile, nominees in attendance virtually included Vanessa Kirby, Riz Ahmed and Emerald Fennell.

From Phoebe Dynevor in an off-the-shoulder Louis Vuitton look to Celeste in a green gothic gown by Dilara Findikoglu, these were the best dressed celebrities at this year’s Baftas.
