If you thought last year topped the list for exciting new launches, such as Dyson’s Airwrap and Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Away Liquid Concealer, think again, because 2019 is already giving beauty buffs a lot to look forward to.

In the beauty world, innovative products, trends – think unicorn hair and the boy brow – and ground-breaking brands are born daily, which can make knowing which ones to invest in all the more difficult.

But that’s where we come in. There’s no better time to revamp your routine than in January, and with this in mind, we’ve rounded up our pick of the beauty brands you can expect to see more of in the year ahead.

From makeup to skincare, these are the beauty brands you need to try in 2019.

Milk Makeup

Holographic Stick, £21, Cult Beauty

A cosmetic company that’s taken the US by storm, Milk Makeup first launched in 2016, promoting the concept of “clean beauty” and raising awareness of the environmental impact of makeup. And now it’s coming to the UK.

Launching on the Cult Beauty website from 28 January 2019, Milk Makeup’s offering includes everything from matte lipsticks and brow gels to serums and face masks.

The best part, though, is that the brand is 100 per cent vegan and “clean”, meaning none of its products contain common beauty ingredients such as beeswax, gelatin, parabens and sulphates.

Amazon Find

Eclectic Choice Lip Bundle, £9.98, Amazon

You can find almost anything on Amazon, and now that list includes an own-brand makeup line.

This month, the retailer has unveiled Find, an extension of the online giant’s fashion label, that offers a range of affordable cosmetics.

So far, the products cover four categories – eyes, face, lips and nails – and include everything from eyeshadow palettes to highlighter crayons and nail polishes.

Prices range from just £8.30 for a lip set to £12.46 for a set of two highlighters.

What’s more, selected bundles are included in Amazon’s Subscribe & Save programme, giving customers access to additional savings on repeat orders.

Flower Beauty

Light Illusion Foundation, £12.99, Superdrug

The brainchild of Hollywood actor Drew Barrymore, Flower Beauty has been established in the US for years but it’s never made its way over to the UK – until now.

Turning her hand to the world of beauty, Barrymore’s collection launched at Superdrug in December 2018, offering customers an impressive range of products that are high in quality and low in price.

Believing beauty should be accessible to everyone, the collection includes everything you need to kit out your makeup stash, including flattering foundations, a contour palette and setting spray.

Disciple Skincare

Dreamy Skin Retinyl Oil, £35, Disciple

London-based natural skincare company Disciple should be top of the list for anyone that suffers from stressed-out skin.

Created by psychotherapist Charlotte Ferguson, the range not only helps the skin’s surface, but uses adaptogens to improve the body internally too.

Hand-blended in small batches from the best raw botanical ingredients, this clean, streamlined range is fairly priced and includes products like the Balancing Mist, Dreamy Skin Retinyl Oil and Miracle Drops CBD.

Augustinus Bader

The Cream, £205, Cult Beauty

Augustinus Bader is like no other skincare brand we’ve come across. Developed by a world leading expert in stem cell research, Professor Augustinus Bader, this name-sake brand uses a patented “Trigger Factor Complex” in its formulas to target signs of ageing and environmental damage.

So far, the brand consists of two iterations of its trademark face cream – The Rich Cream (£205) and The Cream (£205) – of which Victoria Beckham, Demi Moore and Dakota Johnson are said to be fans.
