Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

One of the most talked-about events of the fashion calendar is upon us. After Copenhagen Fall/Winter 2021 fashion week was replaced with a digital event in February, fashion houses have finally returned to the Danish city to showcase their Spring/Summer 2022 collections.

As guests flock to see the latest offerings from designers including Goya, Soulland, Ganni, and Baum und Pferdgarten to name a few, we’ve been keeping a keen eye on some of the best street style looks ahead of this year’s shows.

Scandi style, which is both minimalist and exuberant, is known for its relaxed yet meticulously tailored silhouettes, structured accessories and bold use of colour, all the while appearing effortless and undeniably chic.

This year’s street style has featured plenty of daring colour contrasts and statement accessories. Denmark’s fashion set have shown us they are just as comfortable creating high-toned monochrome looks as they are mixing neon green with fuchsia pink.

The fashion community’s love affair with oversized blazers also doesn’t seem to be cooling off any time soon, with the structured jackets making a regular appearance, while hair bandanas look to be this season’s most popular accessory.

Here are some of our favourite looks from Copenhagen Fashion Week SS22.
