With an almost limitless number of clothing brands offering to help us fill our virtual shopping baskets to the brim, it’s now second nature to buy the majority of our clothes online. One such success story is Mr Porter, the go-to destination for the discerning gentleman; albeit a gentleman with very deep pockets. With a virtual store that is packed full of the latest designer labels, shopping here doesn't come cheap. In fact, so eye-wateringly high can certain price tags be, that for many a visit here is typically saved for high days and holidays only.

Which means it's always a pleasant surprise to log on and discover that right now this high end retailer has joined forces with the high street Swedish brand Cos, designing a collection that is both affordable and high-spec.

It's a 35 piece capsule wardrobe entitled “The Art Of The Everyday”, promising to provide all of your sartorial requirements for the oncoming winter. And because this isn't either brands first time at the rodeo - last year their inaugural collaboration sold like the proverbial hot cake - you know that this is a promise they're going to be able to keep.

What we're offered the second time around are classic staples that, as its name suggests, will indeed slip seamlessly into your everyday wardrobe. And although there's nothing ground breaking here - cotton shirts, woollen knits, blazers and the now inescapable bomber jackets form its backbone - its confident about its ability to provide understated luxury with a price tag that won't make you wince. And that's certainly always something to shout about.
