From Fenty Beauty to Glossier and Kylie Cosmetics, a number of US-based beauty brands have shot to fame in recent months with legions of fans sharing their favourite cult products on Instagram.

However, there’s one brand that, despite making a unrelenting appearance on our grids, has remained stuck on the stateside. Until now that is.

Enter: Drunk Elephant.

A brand that has already proved itself in the US, Drunk Elephant is the fastest-growing skincare brand in Sephora’s history, remains its best-selling skincare line and even saw a 600 per cent year-on-year growth at the chain, which amounted to an estimated $30m (£23m) in sales, in 2016 alone.

And, the good news for beauty junkies in the UK is that it won’t be long until the playful range of high-performance lotions and potions will be gracing our bathroom cabinets because, according to Vogue, it’s launching over here on October 3 at Space NK and Cult Beauty.

So, what is all the hype about? Texan-born mother of four, Tiffany Masterson founded Drunk Elephant in 2013, after working as a peer-to-peer saleswoman for a cleansing bar.

It was here that she learnt a great deal about skincare, including how to make the most of ingredients, and so decided to launch her very own range.

Dedicated to providing skincare that’s backed by science and results, the brand focuses on “clean beauty” by creating products that are high-tech and bio-compatible.

The line is also free of the “suspicious six” - essential oils, drying alcohols, silicones, chemical sunscreens, fragrance/dyes, and SLS – to keep them as non-toxic as possible.

“I call them suspicious because I can’t prove that they are wreaking havoc on the skin, but I believe they are, in fact, at the root of almost every skin drama,“ Tiffany recently told The Telegraph.

She continued: “I want to put skin health first and give my client the difference they are looking for. I’m not interested in playing head games with anyone because I’m a consumer myself and I want great ingredients and clear, healthy skin just like everyone else.”

So, if you’re fed up with asking friends across the pond to pick up your favourite Drunk Elephant products or fancy seeing what the fuss is all about yourself, clear some space in your beauty stash and visit Space NK or Cult Beauty on October 3.
