It may have been unseasonably warm of late but winter will soon be upon us. Don’t get caught in a cold spell, now is the best time to invest in a winter coat.

Thanks to a bustling high street, you’re spoiled for choice from the more casual bomber and biker jackets to classic long-line wool coats and pea shapes that are better suited to smarter occasions.

Investing in neutral colours will make the most sensible purchase.

However, avoid an altogether sombre look by adding a pop of colour with brightly coloured knitwear layered underneath.
