Black and white is the most enduringly stylish of all colour combinations.

Forget penguin suits, there is a way to incorporate monochrome into your wardrobe for all manner of occasions.

The most simple way to get a monochrome look is by building up basics; a white shirt paired with black jeans and a black jacket is an easy take on the trend.

An alternative solution to combining black and white is with a print; look for graphic pattern t-shirts which will be both casual and practical.

Autumn wouldn’t be complete without a check or plaid of some kind, a monochrome version is a quick fix solution to getting in on this trend.

If you’re feeling overly adventurous trousers like this white style with black paint splatter pattern from Hunter Gather will work well as an eye-catching alternative. Just remember to keep the top half simple.
