We love… Royal robes

Love 'em or hate 'em – the Audit is firmly in the former camp, since you ask – those merry old Windsors and their wardrobes are undeniably a talking point for us commoners. An exhibition of outfits worn by the Queen, Princess Margaret and Diana, Princess of Wales is sure to provoke much debate. Tickets £15, hrp.org.uk/kensingtonpalace

We're not sure about… Baby steps

Rockers have plenty in common with babies (endless demands and a fondness for breasts). But that doesn't make designing a clothing range for tots the next logical step. Tico Torres, of Bon Jovi um.. fame, has other ideas with his Rock Star Baby line, arriving soon, alas.

We're buying… Living doll

Designer Karl Lagerfeld – and his cat Choupette – have been immortalised in doll form thanks to a collaboration with artist Simone Legno, creator of kitsch cult brand tokidoki. It's enough to give the designer a big head… oh, wait. There's printed pieces too, which prove Lagerfeld doesn't fail to see the funny side. Doll £129, tokidoki x Karl Lagerfeld, net-a-porter.com and Karl Lagerfeld stores.

We can't wait for… Club classics

If you can remember the club scene of the 1980s, you weren't there, but the highly-anticipated Club to Catwalk exhibition will serve as an exceptional aide-mémoire, with contributions from the most innovative designers of the day including Vivienne Westwood and John Galliano. See items such as the Blitz denim jacket by Levi Strauss, customised by Westwood, pictured. From 10 July, vam.ac.uk

We're saving up for… More for Miu

The summer sales are already in full swing, but those in the know have already started ticking off their lust list for next season, top of which should be the new arrivals at Miu Miu, such as this two-toned Madras featuring colour-of-the-season cobalt blue. £940, miumiu.com
