House of Holland has gone into administration , it was revealed on Thursday.
The contemporary British fashion label was renowned for its rhyming slogan T-shirts, such as “I’ll Tell You Who’s Boss Kate Moss” and “Let’s breed Bella Hadid”.
The brand also boasted a significant celebrity following, with Alexa Chung, Pixie Geldof and Nick Grimshaw among the famous faces regularly sat on the front row at House of Holland’s London Fashion Week shows.
The East London-based label previously partnered with high street retailers Debenhams and Habitat, but has been looking for investors after suffering from “difficult trading pressures”.
Will Wright, partner at KPMG and the joint administrator, said of the news: “House of Holland rose to prominence as a forward-thinking British label, with its signature slogan t-shirts and collaborations with a number of high street brands.
“However, with apparel experiencing the same difficult trading pressures as others across the UK retail market, the company needed to raise additional investment in order for it to continue.”
House of Holland was notably absent from the London Fashion Week schedule this season.
The brand was launched in 2008 via Henry Holland’s own MySpace page.
At the time, Holland was a fashion editor at teenage magazines.
